Risk disclaimer
Protocol parameters and liquidation mechanics differ; use your venue's live values over this generic model.
What does the health factor mean?
Above 1 your collateral covers the debt; the closer to 1, the closer to a liquidation trigger.
The borrow factor caps how much you can take; the liquidation factor is a little higher as headroom at the cap.
Factors differ by protocol — enter the values for yours.
How to use
- Enter the collateral value.
- Enter the protocol's borrow factor % (e.g. 75) and liquidation factor % (e.g. 82).
- Enter the current debt.
- Click Calculate for the health factor, capacity and liquidation distance.
Formula
- Health factor = collateral × liquidation factor% ÷ debt
- Borrow cap = collateral × borrow factor%
- Drop to liquidation = (1 − 1/HF) × 100% (when HF > 1)
Example
Collateral 10,000, borrow 75%, liquidation 82%, debt 5,000 → HF = 1.64, capacity left 2,500, ~39% collateral drop to liquidate.
Borrowing near the 7,500 cap drops HF to ≈1.09 — very little headroom.
FAQ
vs an exchange risk rate?
That is per-position margin accounting; this is the lending-protocol collateral view — different formulas and uses.
Does liquidation wipe the position?
Usually only part is liquidated with a penalty; the page gives trigger-line context only.
