Expiry PnL Matrix (USDT/contract)
| Expiry Price | Intrinsic | PnL |

Risk disclaimer
This matrix shows theoretical single-settlement PnL (USDT/contract) and excludes fees and margin. Naked short options carry large potential losses.
Why view an expiry PnL matrix?
A single option's expiry PnL = intrinsic value ± premium: buyers pay the premium, sellers collect it, and their PnL mirrors each other.
The matrix lists expiry prices around the strike so you can spot the break-even, loss/profit regions and where the trade flips.
How to use
- Choose buyer or seller, and call or put.
- Enter the strike and the premium per contract.
- Click Calculate to see break-even and the expiry PnL matrix (USDT per contract).
Formula
- Call intrinsic = max(Expiry − Strike, 0)
- Put intrinsic = max(Strike − Expiry, 0)
- Buyer PnL = intrinsic − premium; Seller PnL = premium − intrinsic
Example
Buy a 100-strike call for 5: at expiry 120 intrinsic is 20, PnL 15; at 90 intrinsic 0, PnL −5.
Break-even = 105; the matrix shows buyers turning profitable above 105.
FAQ
Per contract or per lot?
Figures are per contract; multiply by contracts in a lot if needed.
How risky is selling?
Short calls have theoretically unlimited loss; short puts max loss = strike − premium. Review the risk notes.
