Risk disclaimer

Planning math only; not an expectation of actual price action.

Why compound instead of divide?

Weekly gains stack: at x% per week, n weeks give (1+x%)ⁿ. Solving for x uses a root, not plain division.

This makes the weekly requirement mathematically consistent.

How to use

  1. Enter the current price and the target.
  2. Enter the weeks you allow.
  3. Click Calculate for the total and weekly gains.

Formula

  • Total = (target ÷ current − 1) × 100%
  • Weekly = (target ÷ current)^(1/weeks) − 1

Example

100 to 115 in 4 weeks → total 15%, roughly 3.56% per week.

Farther targets or shorter time demand more per week.

FAQ

Can price really rise that steadily?

No — this averages the path; real markets move unevenly.
