Risk disclaimer

Gas prices move in real time; the fee charged follows the block that includes the tx — an estimate here.

What drives the gas fee?

The gas limit depends on transaction complexity (≈21,000 for a plain transfer, more for contract calls).

The gas price reflects network congestion and is quoted in Gwei (1 ETH = 10^9 Gwei).

How to use

  1. Enter the transaction's gas limit.
  2. Enter the current suggested gas price (Gwei).
  3. Enter the ETH price for the USD view.
  4. Click Calculate for the fee in Gwei, ETH and USD.

Formula

  • Fee (Gwei) = gas limit × gas price
  • Fee (ETH) = fee (Gwei) ÷ 10^9
  • Fee (USD) = fee (ETH) × ETH price

Example

Gas limit 21,000 at 30 Gwei and ETH 3,500 → fee ≈ 0.00063 ETH ≈ 2.21 USD.

In congestion prices can reach hundreds of Gwei, multiplying the same tx's cost.

FAQ

Why Gwei?

It is the standard on-chain unit: 1 ETH = 1e9 Gwei, giving readable prices.

Is this an L2 fee?

This follows the L1 mainnet convention; Layer-2 fee rules differ, so use their official tools.
