Risk disclaimer

A mathematical equivalent; volatile returns will drift from the daily path.

Why decompose?

20% a year is about (1.20)^(1/365)−1 per day — a tiny-looking daily rate that compounds back to 20%.

Splitting makes daily/monthly goals trackable.

How to use

  1. Enter the annual return (e.g. 20%).
  2. Click Calculate for the daily and monthly equivalents.

Formula

  • Daily = (1 + annual)^(1/365) − 1
  • Monthly = (1 + annual)^(1/12) − 1

Example

20% annual → monthly ≈ 1.53%, daily ≈ 0.05%.

Compounding a daily ≈0.05% works back to about +20% a year.
