Risk disclaimer
Simulation uses simplified linear math; real liquidation depends on mark price, funding and fees.
What does the stress test show?
Assume the price moves adversely by the amount you enter, then compare the loss against initial margin to see equity left.
Contrasting the simulated equity with the estimated liquidation price shows whether your leverage survives an extreme move.
How to use
- Choose direction and enter entry, quantity and leverage.
- Enter the assumed adverse move (e.g. 20%; for a long that is a drop).
- Enter the maintenance rate (default 0.5%) and click Calculate.
Formula
- Adverse price = entry × (1 ∓ move)
- Loss = |Adverse − Entry| × Quantity
- Equity left = initial margin − loss
- Est. liquidation price derived from entry/qty/leverage/rate
Example
Long entry 20,000, qty 1, leverage 10, drop 20% → margin 2,000, loss 4,000, equity −2,000: far past liquidation.
Same with leverage 2 → margin 10,000, equity left 6,000: above the estimate.
FAQ
Is the move a forecast?
No, it is a scenario. Pick it with your own volatility and tail-risk view; longs cannot exceed 100%.
