Risk disclaimer

Plan reference only; real fills depend on the market and may miss the range.

What problem does this solve?

Decide “how much this trade should make” first, then derive the entry ceiling — plan-driven rather than price-driven.

Long: entry = exit − PnL ÷ qty; short mirrors it.

How to use

  1. Choose long or short.
  2. Enter the planned exit, target PnL and quantity.
  3. Click Calculate for the acceptable entry and its return %.

Formula

  • Long entry = exit − target PnL ÷ quantity
  • Short entry = exit + target PnL ÷ quantity
  • Return % = PnL ÷ (entry × quantity) × 100%

Example

Long exit 21,000, target 1,000, qty 1 → entry ≤ 20,000.

Short exit 19,000, target 1,000, qty 1 → entry ≥ 20,000.

FAQ

Do fees count?

No — gross basis; add expected costs to the target for a net plan.
